San Francisco is a correction that belongs to the urban area of Panama City. Colinda with the bay of Panama and the corrections of Bella Vista, Parque Lefevre and Pueblo Nuevo. It represents the commercial, financial and tourist axis of the Panamanian capital.

Currently, San Francisco’s correction is part of the financial and commercial centre of Panama City. It is one of the areas where the real estate boom has concentrated in recent years in the city. Some of its sectors, such as Punta Paitilla and Punta Pacífica, are part of the country's most exclusive residential areas and exhibit high skyscraper density. With an economy based mostly on services, many banks, hotels, restaurants and some of the most comprehensive and modern shopping centres in the country, such as Multicentro and Multiplaza Pacific, are located in this corridor.
