The Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet (in English: super avisp) is a multi-purpose, bi-motor, fourth-generation U.S.-origin and long-lasting hunt designed to be boarded in aircraft carriers.
It was developed in the 1990s by the McDonnell Douglas company (from 1997 integrated in Boeing), based on the F/A-18C/D Hornet, but being a larger and more advanced evolution.
