CHARACTERISTICS:

The 4 1/2 It is powered by an unscrewed motor built by Makita which offers 8,500 RPM for heavy load applications and greater power and speed. The GAG03M1 offers cutting speed up to 60% faster by cutting reinforcement bars #5 (5/8 fake). It is ideal for grinding and cutting a wide range of materials, including tiles, concrete, pipes, ducts and more.

An electric current limiter helps protect the overload engine in high-level motion applications. Additional features include an electric brake that stops the grinding wheel or cut in 2 seconds or less and the active feedback detection technology (AFT®) that shuts down the engine if the rotation of the wheel is forced to stop.

A large pallet switch provides electrical starter pressure points in multiple grip positions. A quick rotation of the protector provides toolless settings to increase productivity. The anti-reboot protection is designed to prevent the engine from starting when the battery is inserted while the switch is blocked. A smooth startup suppresses the start-up reaction and provides smooth start-up.

Wire mesh intake covers are designed to prevent debris from entering the engine. The GAG03M1 is also equipped with Makita's extreme protection technology (XPTTM), a series of protective seals within the tool. XPT is designed to improve the operation of a tool in adverse conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components. The reinforced metal gear housing provides additional durability in the workplace.
