Suitable for use with service input equipment, this general service safety switch provides a short circuit current rating of 10 kA when used with a Class H fuse or is protected by it. It has a short-circuit current rating of 100 kA when used with a Class R cartridge fuse or is protected by it (with a Class R fuse game installed). The features include visible blades for a positive identification that the switch is off, a fast opening and fast closing mechanism and spring-reinforced copper fuse clips. The terminals are suitable for aluminum or copper conductors. There are several lock provisions in the shutdown position. A grounding kit of the equipment is required, available separately.
