Auto-On is an automatic finger placement detection technology that automatically verifies the presence of a finger. When used with Auto-On compatible software, the Hamster IV will turn on and scan your finger as soon as you touch the sensor, all without having to warn the system. Smart Capture ensures a scan of hard finger quality fingerprints. By automatically adjusting the brightness of the sensor, Smart Capture allows Hamster IV to capture high-quality fingerprints from a wide range of traditionally difficult fingers, including dry, wet, scary or aged skin, and even in bright environmental conditions as under direct sunlight. SecuGen Hamster IV works with MINEX Certified Template Generator and Matcher of SecuGen to develop biometric applications that are compatible with PIV. The MINEX certified template generator and comparer are available in a SecuGen SDK variety that can be downloaded for free.
