With mirrorless cameras emerging at an accelerated pace, expectations regarding high-performance optics built for these cameras are growing. The new DG DN series of targets specially designed for mirrorless cameras with full-frame sensor responds to this demand.
2. Bokeh to enjoy it in all scenes
With SIGMA 45mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary the bokeh is particularly outstanding. The spherical aberration has been controlled to ensure that the bokeh from the front and rear of the subject -including the rear bokeh closest to the focus area - create a gradient to a soft blur. This objective softens the peripheral areas of blurry images by suppressing the double-line bokeh, and improves the three-dimensional impression of the subject by enhancing the soft expressions in the foreground and background. The design takes into account the vignette to achieve a rounded bokeh, softening the radial bokeh in all the blur effects. While this optic produces soft bokeh effects that could be considered classics when the diaphragm is at full opening, it also offers a sharp image with closed diaphragms. It is an ideal goal for daily use.
3. High speed and precision AF enabled by an electromechanical motor
This objective provides a smooth, silent and high-speed AF thanks to its electromechanical engine, which allows AF with face and eye detection and AF in video. The design takes into account the use of the manual approach through the focus ring, which transmits the appropriate strength to provide good operability.
4. High quality construction and exceptional operation
Because this objective is designed for daily use, special attention has been paid to construction, quality and operability. The bayonet parasol is comfortable to remove and fix, and the target body with metal parts provides greater durability.
