Maintaining the basic specifications of the SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 OS HSM Sports, this objective offers a lightweight and compact construction ideal for transporting and photographing by hand. With an emphasis on optical performance, this lens has FLD («F» Low Dispersion), SLD (Super Low Dispersion), and other glass elements, and optimized energy distribution. The aberrations have been minimized throughout the zoom range. Resistant to dust and water splashes, to facilitate photography in the field, with a detachable tripod ring for a more comfortable manual photograph, this objective is a lightweight model of high performance with an exceptional ease of use.
Minimized saws with FLD and SLD elements
This lens incorporates an FLD (“F” Low Dispersion”) crystal element, which delivers fluorite equivalent performance, and three SLD crystal elements (Special Low Dispersion) to minimize chromatic aberration. In particular, low-dispersion glass elements and optimized energy distribution help minimize the chromatic aberration that has to affect the extreme of the telephoto lens, and cannot be reduced by adjusting the approach. The result is an excellent image quality throughout the zoom range.

Water and oil coating
The front and rear of the elements has a water and oil coating that is easily cleaned and prevents the fat from attaching to the surface, even in difficult conditions. This coating also facilitates the maintenance of the target surface.
Anti-dust mount and splash

Two manual focus control modes available
In addition to the AF and MF, the MO (Control Manual) option is also available as an option for the Interruptor in an approach mode. When the switch is in the MO position, the target can change to manual focus only by turning the focus ring - even during continuous AF. In AF position, the full-time manual approach is still available. With the Dock USB SIGMA (separate sale), you can easily customize the turn sensitivity of the MO mode.
