Panasonic presents the new mirrorless micro four-thirds camera called to be the reference for professional video users working with the MFT system. A camera that stands out for its recording at 5.7K to 60 frames per second, anammorphic recording at 5.8K 30p/25p 10 bits and a new processor for outstanding management of the excellent features of the new camera.

Professional performance video

The new Panasonic LUMIX GH6 camera boasts excellent performance in the recording of contents. A tool that will already be referenced among professional video users. a tool that thanks to its advanced features is above the required levels in professional quality. This new MFT mirrorless camera model maintains the 5.7K 30p internal video recording available in Apple ProRes 422 HQ and Apple ProRes 422, for the first time in the LUMIX series to allow non-linear editing without transcoding, making our workflows much shorter and more dynamic by not having to expect the editing programs to "translate " the original file.

The anamorphic recording modes (4:3) 5.7K 4:2:0 10 bits 60p/50p and 5.8K 30p/25p/24p 4:2:0 10 bits offer greater resolution and a bit rate not enjoyed so far. This will make it possible to achieve the best performance high resolution images, quality, versatility and dynamism so necessary in the cinematographic field, also on TV and in all types of video productions. Panasonic's new GH6 gets an internal recording in 4:2:2 of 10 bits Cinema 4K 60p, and at the same time it performs the internal recording allows a simultaneous output in 4:2:2 10 bits Cinema 4K 60p through HDMI connection in Atomos recorders. 2D noise reduction: chromatic noise is suppressed and light noise textures are improved, even in ISO high
3D noise reduction: Improves image quality of dynamic motion videos. In addition, high-precision Dual 3D color control improves color reproduction by brightness level, saturation level and tone level for a very realistic color expression.
The combination of the new advanced sensor with improved saturation performance and the new processor allows a sharper image even with a high resolution of 25.2 megapixels and a minimum ISO sensitivity less than ISO 100.

The Lumix DC-GH6E Camera uses a new high-precision 5-axis sensor with a new algorithm developed exclusively by Panasonic developers, which stands out for achieving a powerful stabilization that reaches more than 7 steps CIPA. The new 5-axis Dual I.S.2 system works perfectly to record everyday sequences. Apply the right compensation according to the type of movement accurately analyzing each situation, whether generated by the dip, the inclination or the movement of the hand. The B.I.S. body stabilizer compensates for the motion of the camera even when it is used targets that are not stabilized. This stabilization system is the one that allows one of the great photographic features of the camera, which is high resolution photography even when we are camera in hand devoid of tripod. This new model faithfully reproduces the precise details to store them as images of great realism, both in RAW and JPEG.

Great dynamic range

The new camera gives a dynamic range greater than 12 steps with the V-Log recording, which grows to the more than 13 steps when we use the Dynamic Range Boost mode. This new mode synthesizes in each pixel a very saturated image generated by the low ISO circuit and a low noise image generated by the high ISO circuit. The composite image achieves a minimized noise, saving the distances in comparison, photographers will know this way of working as what was called Dark frame. The LUMIX GH6 also contains V-log/V-Gamut, for the first time in a LUMIX G camera, to offer a high dynamic range with color range. V-Log offers a very flat image keeping all the color information inside the image, allowing a higher level of editing flexibility in the postproduction process. The GH6 Live MOS sensor achieves a wide range of colors known as V-Gamut. This is the optimal color space of the GH6. The well-known and desired colorimetry of the VariCam film camera line of the same manufacturer is present in the new MFT mirrorless camera. We are obviously talking about the V709 LUT (Look Up Table) with the Rec.709 standard, which is available on the default camera. For the first time and for more convenience, the V-Log View Assist (which can apply real-time LUTs) supports the import of .CUBE and .VLT file formats.

4-channel audio recording

We are facing a camera that offers a very improved audio recording to be a suitable tool for professional users that require it, allowing a 4-channel recording to 48kHz or 96kHz to 24 bits if an XLR microphone adapter is connected. This provides greater flexibility to record outdoors, when there are several audio sources, or when audio is recorded as backup. The 2-channel recording to 24-bit 48kHz is also possible. with the built-in microphone, as well as the 2-channel recording to 96kHz 24-bit high resolution if we use an external microphone. We will also be able to jump between the channels that will be monitored through the headphones, even during the video recording, directly accessing the audio menus with an intelligent function button at the top of the Lumix GH6 camera to accurately monitor sound levels. the external microphone can go directly to the body of the camera through the 3.5 mm connection that is incorporated into the camera
